The SC Lady Flames is part of a non-profit organization (Upstate Hoops Ministry) whose mission is to teach young girls the game, ethics and life skills of basketball. While also teaching social skills, such as sharing, teamwork, leadership, responsibility, good sportsmanship and all the while developing new friendships. Most importantly, we impress the need for each player to strive for an above average academic status.

A little bit of SC Lady Flames History:

• SC Lady Flames was founded and started play in 1999 by Coach LaCheryl Smith and Coach Lamont Wakefield.
• SC Lady Flames has helped more than 40 girls enroll into college on basketball scholarships.
